Books, threads, good reads?

I am trying to dive back into saltwater which I was never very good at before and with what I am hoping to accomplish in a few years (300-500 Gallon SPS dominated tank) I really want to be able to understand what goes on in the tank. I know nothing about cal, mag, or other levels and what they mean. Calcium reactors and PAR for LED lighting...it's all like greek to me. I have a few books at home, but they seem quite outdated compared to what I am reading these days...(was 2011 when I last had fish of any kind). Was just curious if there is any good stickies, or books, or anything that could help me in my quest to my goal and better understand what is exactly happening in the tank.

Thanks!

The setting up sticky in this forum is very good. Also, stickies in the reef chemistry and fish disease forums are very good. all those should keep you busy for quite awhile. Good luck
