HI from Cowtown! 75 Gallon Build - Head First
Hey Guys!
I have been on here before many years ago. I have dabbled in FOWLR/NANO etc.... Gave it up for a while but now have traded with (unfortunately not for) my wife I get rid of my 120 Freshy And replace it with a 75G Reef so Here we go. I picked up a used tank/stand/canopy combo on Kijiji. It is a 48 x 18 x 20 On a wood/pine mass manufactured stand. It was i rough shape, the couple that had it didn't take care of it and got frustrated with reefing. Which is sad, but their loss - my gain. I got it for a song and dance - along with an FX5 - ESHOPPS HOB Skimmer - Heater / t5 dual etc..... I HAVE THIS SO FAR: Tank Stand Canopy FOWLR Light T5 FX5 HOB Skimmer I HAVE BOUGHT THIS: Jabaeo DC-6000 2 X Jabaeo Wp-25 Seneye Reef - Connected to VM on my server for 24/7 access. ~90lbs of Liverock I HAVE DONE THIS: I took the tank to get drilled OVERFLOW = Coast to Coast + Bean animal 1" I modified the Canopy - to allow it to be open in the middle - to still hang lights and have circulation. And I will place the door on the front. I am painting the inside of the stand and canopy with mildew proof / gloss / acrylic paint bright white = for salt creep and light reflection. I am still debating getting a glass lid or leaving it open in conjunction with the canopy. ----------------------- I still need to get the tank back before I can start. so no cycling yet. DTR: I plan to add Dosing/Control/ATO/more Monitoring etc... I am looking for the most flexible setup. Something I can control with a server or app etc that won't break the bank... I am open to ideas/suggestions on the Lighting = eventually reef, really want controllable LED's. I am a feature geek I am open to ideas/suggestions on the Sump setup. I have a couple Ideas but nothing is SiS. I have a couple AXIS cameras that I am going to setup to stream the TANK/Mechanical area live. Oh yea. I am Married / 37 / 2 little girls 6 and 3 I work in IT here in Calgary, AB. And am on medical leave for a shoulder injury (Allowing me time) But not tons of money to do this. Thanks In Advanced. Pics Soon - its really just a big mess right now LOL Last edited by graceinhim; 04/25/2015 at 09:59 AM. Reason: adding details |

Pics Coming soon
This build completely changed - well sorta - I added another 75G so it has been a little more complicated - but I have been taking pics!
Is there an easier way to upload pics rather than having to resize them etc...? Last edited by graceinhim; 05/02/2015 at 01:51 PM. Reason: add question |
