Smile Here's my Tank! Suggestions, tips and feedback wanted

Hello

It's a pleasure to be a part of this forum. My name is Knut (ka-newt) and I'm relatively new to the hobby. 2 years ago I started with the Fluvial Edge 6 gallon and kept a few damsels. Now I have the 12 g Fluval Edge with the 42 LED lights. (Spec sheet here)

I'd like to share my tank with you and I'm open to suggestions, tips and feedback. (Forgive me if I ask newb questions and I'll try my best to utilize the search function before starting a thread.)

Now for the fun stuff...

In the beginning

2 Clowns & I Transition to the 12 gallon

First coral in my life, Purple Mushroom, goes in

Kenya Tree goes in...I have no idea about proper placement. I research the corals and what they like, but I feel each tank is drastically different.

Adding Live Rock. Started with 3 upright sections.

Blue Legged Hermit crab and a small Nuclear Green Paly colony goes in. Doing my best to guesstimate where things should go and what looks best overall

Aquascaping to create more horizontal surface area. Hydro USA Koralia Nano Water Pump Size: 240 GPH goes in. Blue zoas?? (can't remember..in the front). Then, I picked up a Green Torch coral and a orange/blue Florida Ricordea

The tank as it stands today.

I'm not crazy about where I placed the corals. I'm doing my best to make everything happy with lighting and flow. But I want things to look natural and pleasing to the eye. I consider color, movement and size while picking out corals, so any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for looking and I can't wait to improve as a hobbyist.

Update: Some rearranging from this weekend. Really happy with the final look...and the corals seem to be thriving. With the new LR layout, there's a lot more horizontal surface area for coral growth.

I am looking to upgrade the lighting this week. Considering the Ultrabrite 27W + fully automatic system with timer & dimer.
