I have a problem
I have a 40 breeder,55 and new 110 gallon tank, my 40 gallon has a gold severum and the 55 an oscar, the problem is they both get big.and I was saving the 110 to start my first saltwater tank but both severum and oscar will out grow all the tanks exept the 110. Should I just do a 40 gallon reef ? Or 55 reef? What do you guys think.

Go with the 40 and see if you like saltwater first before jumping into a 110

40 breeder makes an excellent reef tank.

I agree with the 40 being a far better choice than the 55. you will wind up with a more pleasing rock scape with the 40's dimensions.
I'm also going to suggest that you take a look at our New To The Hobby forum. It's geared toward those that are just starting in the hobby, and I think you may find more people there in that mind frame.
