Rock Conditioning
Question I didn't get enough rocks on my initial order when I set my tank up around 9 months ago , so I ordered some new dry rock (70lbs Tonga, Pukani, Shelfs) from BRS. I have had them in a Brut can for 5 weeks now with two power heads and a 300W heater set to 82 Deg F. I do water changes on my tank every two weeks and to save water have been changing out the Brut can water with my tank change water anywho the first week by Phosphates in the Brut Can were at 2 and 5 weeks later I'm at .5 . Should I wait till I get a zero reading? I want to make sure to get this right as I just got finished a couple of months ago fighting a Cyno issue and do not want to wake the beast back up Is there anything else I should be doing or testing during the rock cook? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Lanthanum chloride dripping is supposed to speed things up a lot. There are some threads on it in the reef chemistry section. Pukani can take a long time
