Proflex model 1 sump plus Refugium tank

Hi everyone, I am currently acquiring all of the equipment to set up a reef tank. i was given a proflex model 1 sump but my issue is that I would like to be in the 75-100 gal range for my tank. I was thinking about setting the proflex up as a wet dry filter then making a 10-20 gallon Refugium possibly with a baffle to make room for a skimmer. I am very new to this so any input is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Dave

Not familiar with that brand. But I can say that refugiums, especially ones using chaeto macro algae, are generally kept separate by baffles from the compartments containing the skimmer and return pump. Some refugiums are kept in completely different tanks or other containers as well.

Wet dry filters with the plastic bio balls are seldom used anymore. Live rock will perform that function much better.
