changing carbon

How often do you guys change out your carbon? I've got mine in a filter sock in the sump.

I would change more often since its in a filter sock. The carbon may not be expired but the detritus build in the tank isnt good for your tank

Does the tank really need it? You might as well figure this out first... There is no shame in a band aid... GL.

I took my carbon and GFO offline recently. I think its helped with my nitrate issue since the buildup is no longer there.

Water is still pretty clear.
