Ordering T5s Today!

Hi, All.

I'm adding 4 T5 bulbs to my LED light setup. Currently, I have two Kassil A360 Tuna Blues.

I want to go with the KZ bulbs. Here are my options!

Fiji Purple: http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/korall...t-t5-lamp.html

Coral: http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/korall...t-t5-lamp.html

Coral II: http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/korall...n-t5-lamp.html

Super Blue: http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/korall...e-t5-lamp.html

I'm thinking since my Kessill's already have such a strong blue channel, to do two Fiji Purples and two Coral IIs.

Let me know!

Thanks,
Joey

This can open a can of worms but you need to decide what you want. I mean, do you want your LEDs to provide the whites? Blues? Both?

Kessil LEDs miss some of the violet range so an actinic bulb can really help there. KZ doesn't make an actinic though. The Super Blue does provide some light into the violet range but not enough IMO.

When I ran the ATI LED Powermodule I ran 2 ATI Blue Plus, 1 ATI Actinic and 1 Fiji Purple. I loved the look with just the t5s on. I then used the LEDs for daylight, shimmer and moonlights.

I'd only add one "red" bulb since they are pretty strong. In the end you have to decide what your current setup is "missing" and go from there.

So I've done some measuring and I may only have room for two T5 bulbs. So if that's the case, what bulbs would you recommend? My tank is 36x20x20 and it's peninsula. That means if I have one color bulb on one side and one different on the other, the coloration may be different. So if this is the case, I'd like to get two of the same T5 bulbs. So would that be best two actinic ?

Either 2 Super Blue or 2 New Gen if you want a more full spectrum

I'm reading ZeoVit site now and they recommend Coral Light and Fiji Purble so I'm going to go with these bulbs...

Two of these (on the outsides): http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/korall...n-t5-lamp.html

One of these (on the inside): http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/korall...t-t5-lamp.html

One of these (on the inside): http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/korall...e-t5-lamp.html

The spectrum of the Giesmann Atinic seems to match the blue of my Kessils.

What do you think?

It will be total trial and error to find what you like. Zeovit tanks are gorgeous but lighting is only a percentage of that. It depends on what you like. More blue, less blue, more pink, more white...

Makes sense! Well, in that case I'll give these a shot and let you know how it works out.
