float switch auto fill help please
Can someone please point me in the right direction? Assuming I can get what I need at home depot.
I have a 30 gallon garbage can with a float switch that's connected to the laundry line for fresh water. However when I want to add that water to the tank I have to turn a valve so the main pump adds it to the tank. Im trying to avoid manually doing that myself and looking to add a float switch in my sump tank with a line to going to the garbage can. How would I make this happen? I'd need a float switch but im assuming I'd need some small pump in the garbage can connected to a line to shoot that water into the sump however I can't seem to find these little pumps online. It seems so simple which is frustrating me

Check a livestock store. They have automatic water bucket float that will refill water for livestock. Not sure if u can find one that will work for saltwater or suit your needs but that could be a start as to understanding how they work and maybe u can build to suit. I grew up on a farm lol
