Smile 125 gallon stocking list. Tangs?

I have spent the past couple months stocking my tank and the whole time I have been fight with my self on which, if any tangs I can get. My current stocking is two oc clown fish, one foxface, royal gramma, orchid dotty back, blue spotted jawfish, 2 wrasse.
My family really likes tangs and I am wondering which I can get. I have read over many forums but every one has their own opinions. I was thinking a regal tang and a yellow tang. I would like to get as many as I can but the health of the fish comes first and I don't want to keep them in a tank that they won't be happy in.
Any comments or suggestions are welcome

hehe. what vinnyol said.

Personally, I had a tiny blue tang and a tiny yellow tang for a few years in my 125g. After they got big, I sold them to the local fish store.

"Tang police" comments are useful to no one.

Here is a list of reef central's opinions for tank sizes: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=1946079

The regal tang isn't a good choice, due to tank size. The yellow is fine, but I would avoid mixing it with others in its genus (purple, scopus, sailfins). All Naso spp tangs get too large. If you want a second one, a kole, tomini, truncated, white tail, and lavender all would be good choices. Keep in mind the rabbitfish is a relative and gets large as well.

Hope that helps.

When I started reefing 4 years ago, the 'Tang Police' comments were common. Lately I see more folks asking for advice first, rather than asking questions later. Seems to me we are doing a better job as a community to inform newcomers to the hobby of the requirements of the creatures in our care. Just another benefit of RC!

It's a good thing people are asking, and its awesome people are answering with experienced/legit information.

Unfortunately, there's still idiots out there buying fish for their 40-90gallon tanks that are meant for 150+gallon. You would think with all the information made available on the internet that people would have common sense.

Fortunately there's RC if they would just do a search ! Lets look at the glass as half full rather than half empty. We ARE making progress by making information available. Baby steps.
