Cleaning Rust off Light Fixture

Hey guys, what do all of you use to clean rust off of your light fixtures? I'm getting some rust on some screws etc. Any reef safe effective options?

dremel and a wire brush attachment would work well for that. Then a dab of polyurethane to keep it from coming back, but just enough to coat the screw without filling the threads or it will be difficult to remove should you need to get inside.
