Hammer coral help!
Hi all,
Just wanting a bit of help regarding my hammer coral - lately it seems to have been receding and as you can see in the attached photos, its sharp skeleton is showing with a browning base and some browning skeleton 'shards'. Any idea on whats going on here? Params seem to be good and all other corals a flourishing at the moment. This sort of happened out of no where. Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk |

What are your water parameters? We need numbers When di dyou get the hammer? Did you change the photoperiod, light intensity, or start dosing something?

Looks healthy and may have had a period of receding. I would watch it and make sure its not progressing negative. If its staying the same it still may grow out.
I have never had luck with those types of hammer. branching hammer grows like weeds in my tank |

Mine does something like this, maybe twice per year.... a small portion dies off, but then it damn near doubles in size in the following couple months. Everything else flourishes while it's going on..
