Need Powerhead/Pump Recommendations FAST

So BOTH of my tank's circulation pumps decided to just die on me today. My Maxspect Gyre, which I've aways had problems with, decided it didn't want to restart after being cleaned, and my Sicce Voyager stopped, and after cleaning it comes on for about 1 second and just stops (I cleaned the impeller and nothing seems like it should be causing the pump to stop).

So I feel like I ought to just order a few new pumps (or at least one) to get circulation going in there again. Honestly I would prefer to just toss the Gyre as it has always been a PITA. Maybe there's a way to fix the Sicce though.

In any case, what would you guys recommend I get to replace these? The tank is 330g, 6 ft. x 30" x 36". I would love to go the Vortech route, but there is no room on the sides of the tank for the outer part of the assembly (I have both of the current pumps mounted on the overflow box). Maybe a couple Tunze pumps? I like to have a lot of circulation, but don't want to have my sand (large granule sand) get swirled up into a tornado.

You answered your own question, Vortex or Tunze. If you want a good cheaper powerhead Koralia are good.

Cool - Tunze it is. Two Turbelle Stream 6125 maybe?

Yeah the 6125 x2 will be good for a FOWLR tank of your size. If you can swing it 6105 is a better choice being dc with a controller it will make more random flow.

Yes, the 6105 looks great. Not sure I can justify the added cost though since this sprung out of nowhere and it's not like it's an SPS tank that needs the fancy flow. Though maybe I could get one 6105 now and run tank with that and in a few months add a second? Hmmm...

Tunze are an excellent choice and should provide many years of solid performance! They have NEVER disappointed me!

Tunze for sure. You can’t kill them! They will outlast any other pump on the market regardless of how much you abuse or neglect them!
