Skimmer water level

Do I need to raise up the Skimmer? Or is this due to it being new?

It looks like the valve is completely closed, that will give you the maximum amount of water in the skimmer. Open it up and the water level inside will drop.

The bottom valve is open all the way. I think it just needs more time to break in. Only been 3 days.

Since it’s been a few days and the valve is completely open, you either have a ton of dissolved organics in your system or you need to raise the skimmer up. I would suggest raising it 1/2” or lowering the sump level 1/2” and seeing how it does. You can always close the valve a tad if needed down the line. If it continues to overflow, raise the skimmer/lower the water level a tad bit more. If this was a used skimmer, make sure the venturi port where the airline connects to the pumps nozzle is free of salt creep. If the nozzle gets plugged up, this will cause the skimmer to overflow.

looks like an axium 120 or 160

7 to 9 inch recommended. looks like that's pretty close 9 in the sump. Try raising it.
if you cant adjust the level in the skimmer chamber then get some light diffuser and some zip ties and make a few cheap stands (1", 2", 3"), then try it out.
