dumbest thing you ever said about this hobby to your wife?

Here is mine, my wife started working as of last month. And last night I told her this. Ever since you start working my aquarium ph went up! ...she had a drink in her hand and she poured it on me.
What's yours?

This won't cost much!

Told her how inexpensive it is to set a system up. She wants me to set one up for her mom. I'm going to have to eat the cost.

I'm divorced now, but my wife hated the hobby, or even more silly than I told her was that the newly acquired fish were already there before, she just didn't notice, she obviously didn't believe me.

I once told her that she could pick out whatever fish she wanted for my tank. It took all of 2 weeks before the purple pseudochromis started killing the other fish and about a month to catch it. Now, when she sees something that she just has to have, I take thie time to explain it's pluses and minuses before letting her decide. Even then, I sometimes have to overrule her.

Well when I had most of my tanks, I wasn't married, however now that I am, she's all for me starting a new tank and I'm the one saying stuff is too expensive. Right now she's satisfied with the scarlet reef hermits in the 2.5 gallon.
