Nitrate/Sulfur Reactors ?

What are Nitrate/Sulfur Reactors used for ?

Are they needed in a Reef Tank ?

They are one of many ways to reduce nitrate. I prefer skimming and growing macroalgae myself, but I detail many methods in this article:
