Hi,
I have FO tank and I wonder if I need to add Calcium supplement into my tank. The reason I am asking is I saw some purple like algae in my tank and don't know if I need to put Calcium to help it developed. |

To get coraline algae to grow, you may need to add calcium, but the only way to be sure, is to test for calcium and alkalinity.
There is a popular saying around here: If you don't test for it, don't add it. |
