good deal or no?
new to the hobby but stumbled across a website for ballast ect.
250w electronic metal halide ballast for 85 bucks had bulb too that i will try and maybe buy differant kind if i don't want them 1000k for 38.50 sounded great and the price was right what do you think |

sounds good have you done a google search to check out if there is any info on the company or ballasts?

not much info to be found, but found the specs to be pretty good
it is a korean made ballast that is about all i could find and the company is DooYoung Electronics |

you'll need to decide if it's worht taking the risk. it may have been made with cheaper components. it may not last as long as the others. that would be my concern. especially once the tank is up and running it's a pain to have a light go out. also wonder what their cust. service is like.

i'd say it's a coin flip. i did look at their site and things look good. a bonus is that they are located in NJ
i'd say go for it. remember things labeled for aquarium use automatically get more expensive.
