Need new substrate!?!?!?
I am having a terrible time managing my levels in my tank. Well more specifically I cannot control my alk to a point where think will start thriving. All inhabitants are living except for harder corals. I currently have synthetic black sand that has no buffering ability. I am thinking that I need to make the switch to some sort of sand bed that has buffering ability like crushed coral or a mix.
Does any one have a suggestion on the matter? |

Are you dosing anything that might help stabilize your levels?

I have been trying bionic buffer but it take up to 30ml per day
and I think that is way to much as I know fellow people of the hobby that have larger systems that dont require that much buffering. Does anyone else have any suggestions? |
