Life rock&bad odors...
I have a piece of live rock that has been sitting in a bucket of water airating for about 2 weeks--the other day I was going to take it out and break it into several pieces that would better fit my aquascaping. When I lifted it from the water--the smell was something aweful, however the rock still had life and come coral on it. What do I do to get this rock in shape so I can add it to my show tank?
TIA |

You are having die-off. You have to do water changes constantly when curing live rock.

Water changes in the bucket? If yes, how long before the die-off is gone?
