installing galss in Maristar light fixtures

I am wondering how to install the glass in my Maristar fixture without breaking the unit. Do I need to put the unit on its back or can I install the glass when it's hanging? I tried installing the glass while it was hanging but when I got to the last screw it felt as if the unit was going to disassemble itself. Please respond I dont want to break this expensive unit.

The screws on the sides just hold the side panels on to the main frame; removing them is not going to make your fixture fall apart.

That said, I would always try to do work like that away from the tank to minimize the chance of some unforeseen accident.
