Now what is going on?

I finally get the other fish doing better from the ich and now the coral catfish(the black with white stripes one) is not doing good he seems to be breathing hard and struggling to stay swimming. Is it the copper in the QT tank? Should I just put him back in the main tank? I just put the UV on the main tank today. Will that make it less risky by putting him back in there?

I need help like now I don't want him to die!

From what I understand, he's in your QT and you've been treating it with copper? If that is the case, I hope and pray that you have not over dosed copper. Remove that copper from your QT immediately asap!! Coral Catfish are extremely sensitive to copper, and do not tolerate even smaller amounts at all. Also, coral catfish do best in schools. Kept singly, they often won't last long. FWIW, I would never use copper to treat for Ich. IMHO, Hypo Salinity is the way to go. Don't put him in the display as moving from one tank to another is going to cause more stress and weaken his immune system even more. Make sure your water parameters are in check. Run some kind of media in your powerfilter, if you're running one, to remove copper. Maybe a large water change. If worst comes to worse, maybe you'll just have to remove him to another tank.

HTH's and GL.

okay that just sucks! I caught the coral catfish and put him into the main tank and didn't even once think about the temporary powerhead i had in there. But of course he found it and got sucked in so I woke up to a dead catfish and it was all my fault because i should of taken the power head out since i have no guard for it
