cloudy tank from sand?

I decided to add some fine white oolitic sand to tank and have had a cloud storm for a day. It is getting a little better, but still cloudy/sand flowing in water. The water quality is ok otherwise, but will the floating sand hurt fish, inverts, and liverock? No corals in this tank.

The cloud won't damage any animals. It might abrade the pumps a bit. The could will settle over time.
