What size sump/refugium for 29 gallon?
I am new to the hobby and these forums. I just bought an established 29 gallon setup. It has ~30 pounds of live rock, 2 clown fish, a wrasse and chromis. It also has some snails and crabs. I would like to upgrade the lighting and add a sump/refugium.
I plan on putting it on the other side of the wall so size is not an issue. What would be a good size sump for a 29 gallon tank. Thanks. |

i think there's a calculator on the main page about halfway or farther down on the left side...something about sump size calculator i believe..
anyways, the bigger the better...but i'd say that anywhere from 15 up would be good...imo, you can have too big of a sump (unless cost is an issue of course) but the more water you have, the easier it will be to maintain the quality.
