Question about M.H. acclimation

Ok, so we all know when you upgrade to MH you use screens to slowly acclimate the tank to the extremely bright light.

Now, if I add a new coral or fish to my tank, would I put the screens back up?

Not necessarily. You can place the coral, for starters, in a relatively low light area. Fish will be okay.

No just place corals as low in teh tank as possible then slowly move it to the desired place. Fish should be fine.

Phillybean,
When I add new, I check where it was located in the tank I bought from. If you order, put it on the bottom of the tank and move up every week or so.

CThomas609,
Just go to home depot or lowe's and buy window screen (for bugs). Cut the pieces to fit the top of your tank, just layer it up.

It's just regular window screens, you can buy the core screen at any HD. They usally come in a roll, you just cut to size.

If you put a peice of egg crate down, 5 or so screens on top of the egg crate and then another egg crate to hold them down. A post in my threads, even if hi-jacked is always welcome
