calcium level, help
im having a hard time getting my calcium up to the 400 area it stays around 325-350. ive been dosing the 2 part b-ionic. my alk is fine at 3.5 have been dosing 45alk part and 120cal part. for just about 3weeks now and no rasie in calcium level. how much is everyone dosing of this?
temp 79-82 sg 1.024 rasing slowly to 1.026 nitrate<5 phos. .1 alk3.5 ph 8.4 cal. 325-350 have mostly soft corals few lps and 2sps thanks mark |

Test your Mag level If it turns out to be low that could be your problem. Low mag makes ca hard to maintain.

my bet would be the magnesium as well. what salt do you use?

i use IO salt, do w/c every other week. would have to check magnesium. thanks for your replies

sounds like the same problem i had when i tried IO salts. it seems to have low mag levels. once i adjusted the mag, the calc went right up to 420ppm.
