Something Strange Growing in my tank...
Does anyone know what this is? These have started growing on some rocks to, and this pencil urchin...(the white things)

yeah, they are sponges, there a few on my live rock, but they love protein skimmers and filters. The bottom of my prizms are completly covered in the the things!

Pineapple sponge.
I have tons of them, mainly in the sump but a few here and there in the main tank. ~Steve~

Yeah, a sponge! I had to ask the same thing when I found one on my polyps. Now I see one inside the prefilter screen of one of my powerheads!

yes, it looks like a pineapple sponge. its a sign of a maturing tank.
