Medications and Skimmers

Ok so basically what happened is i had an outbreak of bacterial infections in my tank and I treated it with a liquid medication. I turned off my skimmer and then did the recommended water change at the end of the cycle. Now the skimmer is still going nutts. How do i solve this? More water changes? Activated carbon?

Carbon, water changes, and readjust the skimmer so that's not going so crazy. Once things get under control, you can gradually start cranking the skimmer back up
