3 days now ( starting to worry )
it has been three days since i purchased a nice piece of GSP from a lfs .. and they have still not come out yet. i tested the water and all the peramitors are perfect , no temp swings , did the drip tech to get to aclimate to my tank the gsp is in moderate flow area with ok lighting and none of them will show their little green polyps ... ( for the record i know i cant spell ) any advice would be much appreciated .. thank you

GSP are notorious for not opening for several days after purchase. I wouldn't be too concerned for at least a week. Keep that alk up and they will come out.

give them time , it take up to a week befor they open.
dont wory they are very hardy and will adapt to you tank in a few days. was there a big difference in the lighting from the stor and your tank? if so they might be adjusting. right now im having a light crisis( ballast blew on my light and had to go to a single fluresence ) and my gsp are all closed up due to the loss of light. this adjustment thing is normal. in the wild they close up during storms and such and reopen when the lighting and water clear up. good luck......al |
