Insulating prop tank in basement?
I'm expanding my pop system to a 50gal rubbermaid stock tank this weekend. Is there anyway I could insulate the sides/bottom? My basement gets super cold and I figure I need about 10w/gallong to heat it. Electricity bill will jump a ton when I add a couple more of these and a 100gal sump.

Can you put a portable heater down there to raise the ambient temp?

I was considering that...do you think that would be more cost effective? I even though about possibly trying to section off a portion of the basement to just heat that area with the prop tanks area.

i think if u section off a room and add a room heater that would be much more efficent then all those heaters make sure u insulate the walls to this way you save even more energy

What about some type of ventilation? I wouldn't want the room to be completely air tight.....
