Talking my hydrometer isn't working

I have a red sea hydrometer and lets face it it stinks I heard of some digital ones where can I find one that I can buy without remortgaging my house? Oh and please don't suggest the glass bobbing one they are worse.

The Pinpoint monitor is very nice. You could also use a refractometer. There are cheapos out there, but I've seen good ones for 60 bucks.

I got a refractometer for around $60. Hasn't let me down yet.

Ive been very lucky with my Instant Ocean hydrometer.Ive had others with no luck.My buddy brought over his refractometer and they read the same.Dont get me wrong but if I had it do over again I would have bought a refractometer.An accurate hydrometer is far and few.

I used a dip six for 2 years, and then I couldn't figure it out why new fish kept dying, I got a refractormer and my SG was at 1.030 seems that corals and the current fish I had adjusted to that salinity but anything new wouldn't make it fixed that and no problems with new arrivals. Just something to look for. Happy reefing
