I get smaller waves W1 setting on 12 volts. All modes work fine. Just on a smaller scale . Not going to keep it this way .This was just a test .
Awesome! I see a WP40 in my tank's future.

Got too excited and couldn't help myself. Just put in my order for the WP40 and one of those variable voltage power supply.

This is awesome. Now we need to see if we can interface them with a controller (APEX, RKL, Tunze Multi)

Call me a dummy but why do the amps go up on the lower voltage settings ?
Is this a concern ?
EG:Of a universal power supply output DC15V 6A//DC16V 5.6A//DC18V or 18.5V 5A//DC19V or 19.5V 4.7A//DC20V 4.5A//DC22V 4.1A//DC24V 3.8A
I guess it's a safe bet to stay under 70 watts ..

That's normal for the AC/DC conversion. Its not the same as 1 amp of AC power from the wall at 120v. Since it still runs with 1.5a at 24v, that should be OK too, but i would prefer giving it more for the headroom just in case. It will only use as many DC amps as it needs to run.

so I'm planning on picking up a couple of these.
I have read through this thread, other site threads and the website and there's a couple things I'm not clear on.

With the supplied controller does it always run 0gph-4500gph regardless of setting, pulse, else or other? (i'm aware of night mode)
from what I see you can't control the upper end but can you control the lower end of the gph flow

I'm interested in possibly ramping down the upper end but I'm more interested in ramping up the low end, like how other controllers allow you to choose a 30% low end,for example, allowing the pump to cycle 1500gph-4500gph.I'd rather not have the pump shut-off in each cycle.

So with the adjustable voltage setting power supplies you guys are trying out are you only looking to decrease top end GPH?

Might as well wait for the WP-25 version that will be half the price for a cube. These things are throwing around water in huge tanks.

I bought this one. Output amps are a little higher, but that shouldn't matter. Has a usb input, and is cheaper too. Either adapter should work.

Hmmm, I hope the amazon power supply won't be too much for the pump. The pump's original power supply is 60w, the one bhazard linked is 90w, but the amazon one is 120w.

I'm a little worried now about using the 120w power supply on this pump. At 12v the original power supply is pushing 5A to the pump, but with the 120w power supply it doubles to 10A. Can anyone comment whether the pump can handle 10A?

"Note- It is common knowledge that is it OK to use an adapter that has a higher wattage and/or amperage rating as long as your voltage is correct"

It will only use what it needs.

That's what I am on the fence about. Part of me wants to go with the larger for an upgrade in the future lol

Absolutely! And it's not a small pump either, might look a bit overwhelming in a 55g tank. I have a 55g QT and I'm waiting for the WP25.

Sweet, I thought this would blow the glass panels out of a 55g. I'm still going to wait for the smaller one to hit the market

Eric(fishstreetstore@gmail.com) say:"100% wp-25 is a demo version, no further news on the jeboa to produce"
