Ivan those first 4 look great!!

On the fry tanks could you have a small low GPH power filter with a sponge prefilter?

Cool thread! Does your platinum pair produce %100 platinums?Have you had any picasso or normal percs that didn't make it? Would like to know the percentages on a platinum pair fry.

So far I try only twice and all the ones that they survive were platinums
I don't know if they was any Picassos or mis bars because I didn't got the chance to see the color before they die.

The all look the same to me !!

Sorry! I was on my phone for that. Meant to say I wish I could get one of the 4 you have but my college's mail system would probably kill it since they're really slow. I did get my LFS to put a pair of Picasso gladiators on hold for me to pick up next Friday though. I wish you were local those platinums look great.

How are the other batches coming along?

I believe that one of the reasons it's that my temperature change before the egg hatch about 3-4 degrees and this affect the days that they take to pass the meta witch it's the most stressful days for the fry.

The reason that my temperature change was because my (apex controller ) got crazy (out of control) after I talk to Neptune systems we got to work but it's hard to rellay on a controller !!

Well thought my eggs were going to hatch tonight but they thought it was a good idea to pop out last night so now i gotta wait for the next batch.

I'm thinking about buying a bonded pair of designers and was wondering how long did it take for your clowns to pair up and lay eggs??? anyone can answer and tell what type please

I have this platinums for over 2years now and they just start it.
My friend has one pair if Picassos about the save age but they still not lay any eggs at this point.
On the other hand my friend has a pair that he got about 6 months and they already having eggs!!
I guess it's about the age and the environmental conditions,if they are happy and free of stress they get it on sooner

my onyx would not pair up with any of the clowns I put in with her . finally she chose the smallest boy and spawned at the age of 4. she paired up and it took three months with her snowflake. but she grew to 4 inches during those four years, and she lays a big clutch. if they spawn early they will have smaller clutches and the female wont grow much after. 3 or 4 years for them to spawn. but size matters when your choosing a breeder!!! get a big female.
