You need to get it directly from PacSun. They will help you get it loaded if necessary.

I'm guessing as big as the internal pipe diameter. I should have the new pipe tomorrow and will let you know.

So I got the new plumbing part with a larger internal diameter. I've posted a picture of both parts here so you can see the difference. Now that the new plumbing part has been installed the flow is so strong that the co2 can't fill the gas chamber. Water fills it up so fast that the co2 will just end up coming out into the sump.

Sorry to hear that the new part didn't work. What are your plan next?

It's not anything like the Masterflex. The Masterflex offers much more control over flow rates and much finer control. The Masterflex keeps the flow continuous via a variable speed motor. This pump if I am not mistaken pumps and then stops, pumps and then stops. If you set a low flow of say 25ml/min, the pump will run and then stop for several seconds before it runs again. It will certainly work though. When you get your pump, if you want to bring it by, I'd love to check it out. We could compare it to my Masterflex if you are interested. That's what I run on my reactor.

I got it the other day and that's exactly what it does. Almost as if I would be dosing, which I wouldn't complain about.

I'd love to swing by and see the masterflex. I can bring this one by and you can take a look at it as well. Shoot me a PM and we'll figure out a day (I'm busy with basketball a lot so may not be for a couple weeks.)

@ Johnseye - water flow is not too much, now just Your CO2 pressure must be increased. There must be water flow like it's now for proper CO2 dissolve in mixing chamber.

Best regards

I think you're supposed to aim for 2-3 bps. The solenoid turns on and off when co2 is needed. Hopefully you just took a lot of co2 to get the water saturated and it levels off from there.

I think your right. I have a carbon doser regulator so I can set the bubble count from 4.6 bps up to 1 bubble every 15 seconds. The problem is I can also set the size of the bubble that comes out from tiny to very large depending where I set the low pressure side.
My mistake was I set it at 2bps and 8lbs (large bubble). I think I scale it down to tiny bubble and see if it will fill chamber correctly

CalcFeeder Basic/Pro - latest generation calcium reactor

One more question. When replacing the CO2 bottle. Do I need to bleed the reactor of CO2. I have 2" of CO2 in the mixing chamber? I am assuming it is CO2 and not air because in the chamber because the solenoid valve is closed when I changed the bottle so I don't think air can get in chamber. Am I wrong? Can I just put new bottle on regulator and fire up?
I am running a D.C.-2 so hard to test effluent coming out but I suppose I could if my ALK numbers aren't holding.

I think as long as you disconnect the tubing before the solenoid, and the controller is off so the solenoid is closed, you should be good.

My replacement tube lasted for 3 days. According to Tomasz they are waiting to get new and improve tubes in from their supplier

Yes, it looks like we got some faulty norprene tubings and after careful inspection we decided to use another supplier - that time it will be Pharmed BPT(which we are using in small pump heads on Kore 5th and which never failed ).
Additionally we want to inform that after weekend there will be released new firmware for Calcfeeders controllers which will include some new options and much smoother working menu with fast response keys.

How can we get the new tubes?

Hi Richard,
You need USB type B cabled app for firmware update(pls contact with our service for getting it - work under Mac OS/Windows)
You need to connect controller to computer, start app - choose firmware file - then click start "update button" in app - and reset CalcFeeder controller.
Thats all.
Please contact with service directly if you will need remote assist doing update - they will be happy to do it with you.
Thanks!

Regards

Przemek

Not sure why am having this issue all of a sudden I changed out my CO2 bottle once I hooked up the new CO2 bottle and made sure all the chambers were filled with water then turned on the CO2 with aquabee pump running The problem is as the CO2 was running for over an hour it pushed all the water from the gas chamber all the way down to the bottom of the cylinder about 2 inches from the bottom and by doing this I can't get the calcium reactor to run correctly I don't know what I'm doing wrong I didn't have this issue before when I've set it up. Why is it pushing the water all the way to the bottom and how can I correct this

Quick question: the tube and valve that go from the pump to the co2 reflow good which direction? The flow through the tube travels from the main chamber to the pump, correct? From the photos, I've seen it go both ways.
