Might not be killed. They normally have all the eggs and such inside. Just looking for a place to stop and drop.

From what I read they are not really beneficial, but not bad either?

After going through pump, I could see lacerations and it swam even more erratic, then disappeared behind rock. I have not seen it since.

I have hundreds of birstleworms. They keep the rock crevasses clean and eat anything that drops.

Can anyone ID this weird critter? It popped up out of nowhere and I have not had any new frags in a few weeks.

Pix & ID: Critters that come in your rocks: the good and the bad.

Is this a fireworm?
He has white and bright red tufts. And is pretty fat and wide. And really really creepy.

The bright red and fluffy ends DO indeed point that way. I like all my bristle worms, but that one I would toss.

Is this an emerald crab? It was sold to me as an emerald crab but he shows none of the emerald color. Solid brown and his arms kinda have red joints. Thanks.

Might be a Mithraculus forceps - same genus as emerald crabs. Also an algae eater.

Hey guys can I get some help on what these things are? I have a pic and the other is a link from my YouTube.

Is it little babies of this frag?

I'm a newb so I can't really confirm much until I do more research or learn from experience. But it's kinda hard when you don't have any idea what it is...
And here's the video, thank you btw

The first two pictures look like Hydroids, the last one is Yellow polyps. The video appears to be a Peanut worm.
