Good luck on that one. I've been trying to get a hold of them for a few months and they are not answering my e-mails!

I am done with this pump. I just had my third motor fail. The last one only lasted two months.
Now I just have to decide what to replace it with.

Wp40 died around the 1 year mark. My 2 wp25 are still working fine.

I'm also done. I have one of each that has gone out and I can't reach Jebao. I've sent at least 20 emails, and none get answered. I'm ordering 2 EcoTech Marine VorTech MP40wQDs.

Fish street told me the same thing so I've tried to reach out to Jebao with no success. I went and bought the ecotechs. One week later I get a job transfer so have to shut everything down.

You can find most parts online, inexpensively with timely delivery these days. The main motor probably not. Parts availability will continue to improve with the quantity of pumps in use.
I've had 3 WP40's for over two years, have only had to replace an impeller on one of them so far - knock on wood. For me, the performance and cost of ownership make these pumps a know brainer. $180 vs $1050? Doesn't a vortech wetside cost more than a new wp40? |

Seriously, good to know. I have had my first wp40 failure in 18 months of operation. I have 2 Apex Wavs, at the ready, maybe I'll fix the bad wp40 and sit em in the pile or sell them. |

I love how people chose to buy the cheap pumps and then complain aggressively after it fails 1 to 2 years later, you still saved hundreds of dollars, buy replacements.

That all depends on what the alternative is also taking into consideration normally replaced parts. It actually is a good deal if your replacements come every 2+ years.

I initially purchased 2 x wp-40's they each lasted a little over 1 year....they died within 2 weeks of each other. I replaced them by first buying an rw-15 and then added an rw-20. They work very well initially. However,..... 16 months later the rw-15 just exhibited the same problem as the wp-40...it just randomly stopped working. I cleaned it in vinegar and I can manually turn the impeller and it will work for a second or two but then... nothing. I'm not exactly sure what the problem is...but can't explore past taking the shell apart and cleaning the unit and impeller. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has them. I am thinking that the lifespan is 12 to 18 months on these pumps regardless of the model. I have read through many posts and it does seem that other people are lucky with longer durations of useful life but this has been my experience with these pumps. I like them when they work ...but would like them even better if they worked longer.

Four wp40's between three hobbyists. All of them are kaput after 2 years. Mine lasted the longest. hehe

Just got Neptune wavs, once installed jebaos are gone for good.....going to sell off all the parts and working ones. I can't babysit a pump this much BUT , they do make nice flow when they work

I am looking for some Jebao WP-25s and/or RW-8s and I don't care if the controllers work or not as long as the pumps work. PM me. Thanks.
