Thank you, yes i find your answer #450 :-) sorry. I was wondering how you are keeping this wonderful garden under just 324 watts. But i found that there is additional 90 watts LED lights. So - 415 watts on 415 litters

Thank you for the clarification. Did you try full power? What are your concerns - too much light or vision is not good enough?

The one concern that I had was sometime in August/September I needed to replace the bulb (annual maintenance) I wanted to play with the the bulb combo, I've always liked the "actinic" look however I was worried that If I only run two white and two blue I might loose some color, well so far so good! all the colors of the corals are intact, not a single one browned out or lost any color! So if your really think about it the system is theoretically running with just 4 bulbs. One of this days I will break out the par meter and see how much par those actinic actually does add to the system.

Very nice setup. It's great seeing tanks with t5/led. I've been running that setup for almost 2 years and it's worked great for me. I'm in the process of upgrading tanks, and I will be running a similar setup. 6-80w t5s and 150-3w DIY LEDs. (My tank is 8', so I added a couple more LEDs then u lol )
Thanks for taking the time to share all ur amazing pics with us. |

SchnitzelReef - Thanks for taking the time to view and comment on the thread. Coming from a MH setup it took some time to get the corals to acclimate to the T5/LED combo. On a side note I like your ATI T5/LED conversion, this is something that am looking in to doing with my own light fixture. I think it will be cleaner than my current setup with 2 Reefbrite - one on each side.

I just found this thread. Great lookin tank! So do you feel like you are getting enough PAR with the addition of the 2 actinic bulbs? Can you post a pic of the whole tank with all lights on? Thanks.
