I know my nitrates are a little high, still coming off the mini cycle. I haven't checked my phosphates (have a reactor currently running with new phos material). Have not checked Mg either. I want to get my nitrates down to 0 before I start doing any serious chemical tests/solutions. I would just like a tang to eat it for the benefit of their own health, my yellow tang is a big but still is too skinny for my likings.

So I did a little experimenting and took some of the algae on a clip and put it in my other tang. My fish were very curious. The starry blenny struck first, followed by the yellow tang. The algae was gone in under a minute. My wrasses and clowns usually pick at the sea veggies, but they didn't this time. So I guess I should try and manually remove as much algae as possible, then add the yellow tang and starry blenny. They should take care of the rest and keep it under control.
