Just my opinion, but I would not run the chiller straight to the display. The colder water could shock any coral that's in it's path. Better to run it from the skimmer side of the sump to the rerun pump area.

Good decision on the OM by the way. The best piece of equipment I have ever bought. What are your plans for the closed loop?

ya i changed that a little, the chiller isn't going straight to the display in my current plans.

the closed loop is going to be over the top of the tank and i'm not sure where i'm going to position the outlets just yet, i'm thinking one on each corner but if you have any suggestions, please send them my way.

the tank is full or RO/DI water and the closed loop is plumbed.
finishing up a few odds and ins then i need to figure out how to use the apex and ill be ready to add some salt

one question do you guys think the 1262 will be a big enough return pump or should i upgrade it. (outlet into tank will be about 6ft higher then the pump)

thanks again.

Looking good. I'm also still finishing up with my in-wall, been at it for a few months now. As for the question on the 1262 as the return pumps remember that slower flow through the sump is better (less micro bubbles making there way back to the display).

IMO you already have the 1262 so go ahead and try it out. If you see that the 6 ft of head pressure is to much for the pump you can always upgrade. I temporarily used a 1262 when i first set up my aquarium and it sits about a good 6.5 maybe 7 (never really measured it) and had no issues.

Looking great and keep it up.

-Chris
