That's a big reservoir! I guess that's good if you're manually filling it. An under $15 float switch connected to your RO output will keep a smaller reservoir going easily.

Hmm that would be better and safer. I just thought you had to run your rodi unit couple min before you use that water that's been in the lines when it was shut off last, how reliable are those rodi shutoff valves? I know the float switch looks pretty bullet proof to go wrong. |

It runs constantly. It's fine. If you're losing 3-5 gallons a day. It's topping off quite frequently. Thus, RO is always topping off as well. I keep a power head in the 10g reservoir just to keep it moving in the reservoir. I think it's only a problem when that line sits for days.

I don't know if that's better because now I can't see them but I have tees and float switches for ATO res, a place to fill buckets, and two water mixing containers.

RO is just on all the time. It fills all containers until full and stops.

Since go. Which really isn't that long for this system. I started making water for this system about a year ago. It's been good to me though. Only maintenance has been DI resin. I'm on a well and I guess I have a decent amount of silicates because I can go through some DI resin. Of course getting back to the topic. I evaporate a over 5 gallons a day in the winter so RO/DI gets quite a work out, and god forbid I do a water change. Another 30-50 gallons. Knock on wood....it's been bullet proof.
