how EXACTLY does a cone snail kill you?

I too have had many of those in my tank, for years. I have no idea where they came from. They move very fast for little snails. Also, an odd behavior for a snail: in my tank they sometimes form pairs and two will stick together with one following the other all night. Mine only come out as they lights are going off. They are omnivores. I have observed them feasting on a bristle worm that my shrimp killed and only ate half of.
Oh, and cone shells inject a powerful neurotoxin to catch prey. Some species can easily kill a human. These are not close relatives to cone snails. John |

cone shells/snails are the same thing. look at the articles below.
