i have read and read on this thread and i certainly have a better idea of what can and cant work but i would like to check my hopeful stock list and see if i will have any issues.just fyi this is my first saltwater tank.
DT is a 90 gal with about 80-90 lbs of live rock. i am looking forward to getting some soft corals and an anemone for the clowns i have a wet dry filter underneath. looking into a 29 gal sump. i currently have (from previous owner) 1 Bengaii cardinal 1 blue green damsel 1 ocellaris clownfish. intended fish stock list includes 1 more ocellaris clown 1 pink spot goby with or without pistol shrimp 1 blue hippo tang. 1 purple firefish ( i do not know if this will be bad with the goby) thats all i can think of that i know i would like to have in my tank. im sure i will see something on my visit to u-tube and have to add something to my list. thanks in advance Mike B |

right now i have a 24g jbj biocube with no fish (leathers)
and a 17g with one baby domino clown (other corals) what recommendations do you guys have? i was considering six line wrasse, or a possum wrasse. a firefish goby or maybe like a court jester. and i was considering a dwarf angel of some sort for the larger tank? any ideas for each setup would be appreciated |

Hi, I am currently setting up a 75 gal tank, with about 100# of LR, sump/refugium with an ASM G3 skimmer.
I was thinking about adding.. 1 Flame Angel (already own) 1 Coral Beauty Angel 1 Chromis (already own) <-- best fish ever.. 1 Bangaii Cardinal (already own) 1 Kole Tang 1 Occelaris Clown (already own) 1 Yellow Clown Goby 1 Lawnmower Blenny 1 Mcloskers Flasher Wrasse (with lid) thinking about "long nose hawkfish", or a mysis eating "Green Mandarin" How is the compatibility? Is that too much fish, even though I have an over powered skimmer?

Thank you, Ok I understand about the "mandarin's" primary food is copepods.. Now I see, by the way you put it.. The Mandarin is no match at swimming for food like the others.. ( I don't recall ever seeing mysis making to the bottom of the tank)
Let's do it again.. 75 gal, 100# LR 1 flame angel 1 chromis 1 bangaii cardinal 1 yellow clown goby 1 lawnmower blenny 1 kole tang 1 occalaris clown 1 mcloskers wrasse (with cover) 1 long nose hawkfish (don't have shrimp) 1 green mandarin

Hello,
I have a 40g tank, and I was wondering is there a limit to how many snails you can have per gallon? I have four Nassarius snails, and want to add more. I really like them, so I want to get as many as I am able to keep. |

In a 40g tank
Have: 2 Osc Clowns, 1 Allen's Damsel (have had them for a year and a half'ish) Adding: Juvenile Royal Gramma. She is in QT, so it's kind of a done deal, but still. Any concerns? Would like to add: 1 more Allen's damsel to pair up with the existing one (is it even possible?) Much appreciated! |

Thinking about adding another tang to my 125 reef. I currently have a Tomini tang, black cap basslet, antennata lionfish, LeMarks angel and a two-stripe rabbitfish.
Also the lion will be moved soon. I am specifically interested in a white cheek or a powder blue. |

55 gallon reef set-up.
Current inhabitants: 1 tank bred Oscelaris Clown 1 Banggai Cardinal 1 6 line wrasse 1 Lawnmower Blenny 2 (paired) Red Banded High Fin Gobies - with pistol shrimp CC includes a variety of snails and 3 peppermint shrimp I intend to add a Flame Angel as the last fish. I am considering adding either a Blue Dot or Yellowhead Jawfish and thinking about the possibility of a cleaner Wrasse. Also considering a Gramma Loretto and am aware that the 6 line may have issues with it (thanks to your fine advice a while back). |

All right, I'm glad I asked first! I assume the yellowhead wouldn't have any compatibility issues then?
And thanks again! |

Can anyone please tell me what kind of starfish this is, what it eats and if it's difficult to care for? I have an established, year old 60g tank.
Thanks! |
