I modified the schedule to fit my work schedule. The light run for about 14 hours a day but with the controller, there is a 4 hour sunrise/set. The light are then only at 75% power for the other 6 hours. I don't have much algae growth and I have great coral growth. I give most of the coral growth credit to the full spectrum coloring of the LEDs and less on the time they are on. Overall, the LEDs combined with the controller has been worth their weight in gold.

Very nice, from planning to execution to the photo documenting of your build.

Oh yeah, the end result is looking good too.

Trouble shooting is not where I am best at but I can try. What do you mean by I can't drive O? Do you have your negative (common) all wired together? The negative from the 12vdc power supply, Arduino board, and the LDD must be all connected with a common wire. Have you signed up on the forum where Jamie can help with your questions?

All battery operated feeders run on 3vdc. Because of that, they all can be controlled by the arduino.

True, but battery operated are kinda weak in my opinion. (At least ones I,ve seen) although this is DIY, still seems better than most battery operated ones. One I saw and mentioned would run a stepper motor (4$) Tupperware u probably have in kitchen and PVC you may need to buy or have in garage. Check out video, it's a lot better than auto feeder I found that was condiment carrier (thing you would put pickles in when getting hamburger to go) that some kid stuck through a toothpick and spun by hand (not sure how that was auto or easier than just feeding)

So is the clay-boa.com thing a joke? Did you get everything from Rapidled? How did you decide on the heatsinks to use?

Everything for the LEDs are from clay-boa.com and I just picked up the heatsink from an electronic salvage place.

I have no clue where the clay boa thing came from. My LEDs are both from the group buy place and they are top notch.

Just a little up date for everyone. This was my tank just a few months ago.

a combination of bryopsis and hair algae. I can gladly say I have almost won the war and things are growing great. Here are a few updates.

Nice looking tank, clay boa is what happens when you post that specific site you got your LEDs from, they are banned on this site. So any links to their website will result in clay boa.
Most people by now know it's the group buy site.

I made my final upgrade to the aquarium. I have come to love the AIO style tank. So I decided to go with the largest AIO tank. JBJ 45g Rimless is a pretty outstanding aquarium. I have only found to cons to the setup and these could be easily fixed if JBJ wanted to. The media basket is all but worthless. Its half the size that it should be and doesn't hold much media. The glass tops are also very very cheap. As of now the tank is hold up good and looks great. We all know that Im a man of few words so here's the upgrade pics.
