The IOE just plugs into the two RJ45 ports using the cables provided. The ports are labeled. It is just a breakout box for the two RJ45 ports. it has push to release xonnectors for the wires from switches and the devices you want to control with the output ports. What are you going to connect to it?

As for the pump hopefully Lindsey can address that but it looks like your pulse time is .2 seconds. Is that what you want?

No I want 1 second on the pulse. So maybe that's the issue. I'll be hooking my float switches to the IOE and possible another dci. I didn't know they are push to release, let me try that and see what happens

Pulse time is 2 tenths of a second. Yea not gonna work. Jebao pumps won't show up below 0.7 I believe. I have mine on a 4 second switch. I've gone as high as 7 and it was a cool current effect.

Ok cool got that working now. The next project I have when I get off will be programming the low level alarm in my ATO container and for programming the undertank lights to come on when I open the stand doors. Pickupman66 did a good video on the multicontroller feature. I have some magnetic door sensors that I am going to install on the doors of my stand. Correct me if Im wrong but I will have to program a virtual moddule that will set the light to come on when the switch is opened? And then another for when its closed? I thought about using the "revert after" feature but we all know sometimes you can end up in that sump for a while. I don't want to have to go back to the archon and manually turn it on or open and close the door again to get the light back. Or am I completely off here?

Find out if the door switches are open or closed when door is open. That will tell if they need to be wired in series or parallel. You can control an output directly with a switch input. No need for virtual channel.

String them in series and when one or more doors are open you will have a open switch at the swith input. Then just use the switch function. use your switch port with these switches on the on when and off when statments. on when open and off when closed.

Hopefully the switches come tomorrow. My whole system is up and running minus the temp probe in my nano. I ordered that and should be here in 2 or 3 days.

I'm wondering if you can control the pan tilt zoom functions while watching a camera through Archon interface. I'm about to order a camera and I do t want to pay extra for something I can't use

No, i have tried the archon with 2 ptz
No control.
But thats what phone apps are for.
I tried trendnet and a dlink cam. Both ptz
I recommend as high a megapixel cam as you can afford.

But the webcam frame on the archon is just a pictureframe.

I don't think so. I can get to my webcam without using the link on the Archon if I need.

Worked like a charm once again. Next question lol. I have a float switch at the bottom of ATO reservoir and would like the system to send me a text and email when it closes and if possible turn the pump off until it opens again. I tried but what ever I do the ato stays off unless I remove the alarm.

Is it open or closed when the reservoir is low? I used an alarm to do this. Just remember when using inputs like switches that you need to set the trip point to .5 for it to work. Check trip when low if the switch is closed when level is low.

Ill give that a shot tonight. On a different note has anyone heard if this new update will have anything to do with the Jebao Cross flow pumps? I know they were working on it and I read they should be an update today.

I think update is for other things. You should be happy with it though.

This could be somewhat off topic and if so please disregard, but there appears to be discontent in the Apex camp over the release of their updated controller. While I don't have an Archon, the new Apex looks to be a knockoff of the Archon that Apex users bashed.

I'm curious what it was that Apex users bashed about the Archon besides including wireless? I think wireless should be available and available to control wireless enabled equipment like lighting but I still much rather hardware the controller to the network myself.

First thing I thought of when I saw the new controller was profilux.

By bashing I suppose I meant more from a customer support position by DA.

That doesn't surprise me. A lot of people seem to write the Archon off because of some bad experience with the Customer support they had with the reefkeeper. All while never actually giving it a shot. I for one have never had a bad experience with support of the Reefkeeper or Archon. Once people starting trying it out I think it will get very popular, its a solid controller.

Something like this?

ATO will not run when reservoir is low or the water level in the sump is high. I also have a timer that allows the ATO to run for 6 minutes and then not for another 2 hours.

Snazzy new webpages. Software and webpages updates were both quick. Before this update I had 1,024 hours of up time. Very happy with my Archon.
