How to DIY an AC 70 fuge - Page 9

here in Brazil, an Ac is so expensive that I would do something like an external overflow box, but not going to sump.

Is a AC70 filter media space enough for a 2foot 17gal standard gal tank? I cant find any tech info the the AC70 filter volume.

I hear its 20% of tank volume before you see gains from a refuge?

I use an in tank breeder style box that's about the same size as an AC (now Fluval) 70 in my 40 breeder to grow chaeto, so yes, it would work for a 17g tank.

AC110 with DIY PVC surface skimmer mod works well to adjust flow. Probably could work with AC70.
