No, they never have free shipping, that would kill there margin earned from shipping ; ) Thats the only complaint i have with them. You can usually find them on ebay for 59.99 with around 12-15 for shipping for the ps160 and cheap for the ps75 as well.

I currently have a Typhoon skimmer on my 55 gallon tank, but I recently bought a Odyssea PS75 brand new on Ebay for $15 plus shipping. The shipping was $20, so in all I got it for $35 shipped. Not bad eh?? The price was right, so I thought why not....

On a different note, aquatraders has raised prices on lights, UV's and the ps75. Just wanted to update everyone.......like i have said a long time ago, the once $549 1140MH fixture will eventually be the same price as the coralife...since it is the same dang thing. Greed, Greed, and Greed.

Hey guys quick question, Where in the riser tube do you have the "water level" at. Im setting my PS160 about 1 inch from the top of the riser tube leaving 1 inch of pure foam.....
I know this is a personal setting but im just curious.

Clever, when i had mine set up i had the water level a bit below the collection cup and the foam was about half to 3/4 up the riser. But it was a modded skimmer. When i ran it stock....for a day, i had the water level pretty high. About half way up the riser

Clever, what all mods did you do? I was pulling around 3/4 a cup to a cup every day out of my 125g and it wasn't getting alot of raw water either.

I should say that one cup means one measuring cup. I have every mod on here, including my new mod; the 90degree elbow

Ok, I am putting my PS 75 together now, and have a few questions. Where exactly do I connect the air line to?? Once it's set up, where do I set the water level at???

Set the water line about midway if you can (i have mine about 4 inches up; just so the water covers the pump).
As for the airline feed, im not sure without pictures. I know they changed the venture plus i dont have my original pump anymore.

Hey here are a couple new cheap skimmers I just came across. The Hagos looks like an Odyssea knock off with a different impeller. What I'm really interested in is the little one for small nano's.
here is the hagos here is the mini one I would use on nothing bigger than a 10g the guy has a bunch of cheap overseas stuff and it seems he has really good feedback. I've sent an email to someone who bought the DE bulbs off him to see what he thinks, I'll post his reply if i get it.

I bit the bullet and ordered the PS160. At the same time I ordered a hanging kit for the MH, and a couple of magnets for building some hanging frag racks. The skimmer will be my fourth Odyssea product.

Look on ebay for enkamat 4
thats the material you are looking for, otherwise your welcome to go the a local store and buy 10feet of it......enought to mod 500 skimmers. The best iv heard was to make 3 layers of that.
