thats interesting. i have a yellow watchman and never knew you could pair it with a pistol. i did a good search and saw a video on youtube. what sort of relationship do they have? sorta like a clwon and an anemone?

also, i have a dwarf lion on the way which tells me if i got a pistol he'd be lunch for the lion...i wonder if i can get a big enough pistol (the dwarf lion is the smallest one they offer) he won't get bothered...

The shrimp digs the hole and the goby stands watch. i would love to pair it. its such a cool little thing and eats like a pig also. he loves frozen brine w/ spirulina

i have no idea if the lion would bother the pistol. But i think the pistol would be fine they can fight pretty well. They shoot a burst of water that is extremely hot (forgot how hot) But like what scuba diver93 said the pistol will dig the burrow then the pistol will share the burrow with the goby for exchabge for food. The pistol will always be by its burrow with the goby. The pistol keeps one attena on the goby at all times. And if the goby twitches a certain way the pistol knows that there is danger. You can not pair the pistol with any goby it has to be a shrimp goby such as a yellowwatchmen, spotted gobies, etc. Here is a awesome link check it out awesome video.http://www.milkandcookies.com/link/62380/detail/

lol.. I like this comment:

"Yeah i have a hard time believing it reaches the temperature of the sun. The sun is really friggin' hot. It would melt the pistol shrimp itself to be that close to that kind of heat - we're talking millions and millions of degrees celsius."
