Clam ID please



It is almost a diamond shape and it attaches with an almost tail like thing at the top and moves around the tank with it it is a purple/brown colour shell anyone know what it is and if it is safe? It came attached to some live rocks I picked up.

Nah, it's not a scallop, it's a pearl oyster, but I don't have any of my references here to ID it. I'll see if I can find it on the net.
