questions on Sicce pumps
Does any one know where to get Sicce pumps? Preferable with the mesh mod all ready done.
Also does anyone know the size of the output on the Sicce? I'm hoping it's around 3/4 inch.

I just ordered the PSK-2500 for my DIY 8" skimmer from Marine Solutions. They will actually mod the pump unless you tell them not to, and the venturi is included. I went from mesh modded Sedra 5000 pump from my 6" diy skimmer to QO 3000 and now to Sicce. The sedra was okay with my 6" skimmer but now that I went with a bigger one, I needed something that will pull a little more air that the first 2 pumps I mentioned. I will find out I guess when the Sicce shows up.

I'd really like to find out how they compare to the Sedra 5000. All I read is that it will "blow the sedra away" I'd like some numbers though. Like the Sedra pulls x amount and the Sicce pulls x amount. I've read the threads, but nothing really compares them.

Is your Sedra 9000 mesh modded or stock needle wheel?

Stock needlewheel. From what I have gathered on the asm skimmer club thread, the mesh doesnt increase air pull but it does chop up the bubbles smaller.I have some mesh that I just got in yesterday, not sure if I willl waste any of it on the sedra though.
To be honest the sedra pumps imo are a complete waste for use as a skimmer pump. The air pull, high wattage, and price do not make them a good purchase.

reefguard I just got my Sicce from marine solutions. There was a hole drilled for a venturi, but nothing to go into the hole. What did you use and do you have pictures?
