Coral Beauty not eating
I have a coral beauty and it just won't eat. I have tried Brine Mysis and seaweed. Any reccomendation before this thing starves to death? It didn't cost me anything so it won't be a big loss but I would still rather keep it then have it die.

Try crushing some vit b-12 up and putting it in the water to stimulate their appetite.

Mine used to eat a bit of a frozen square of protein food daily, initially If I'm remembering right, later he ate brine shrimp.
Maybe your cb will eat some frozen food?

If you go to a drugs store you can purchase them, they are fairly inexpensive.

"I have tried Brine Mysis and seaweed"
What's seaweed? Do you mean nori? Soak the nori in fresh crushed garlic. Garlic does little or nothing for ich,but it does stimulate eating.

how long has it not eaten? I have a cb that didn't eat for 3 days (at least) but as quickly as it stopped it started, I just made sure he was nearby when I put in the mysis. I also (as does HABS#1) use garlic but not every day. Good luck and drop some food on his head - fish are not known for their intelligence!

He might be eating a fooling you--when I first got my coral beauty it would not eat with the other fish for 10 days. What is was doing was grazing on algae ect at the back of the reef where it hangs out in the day time.
I guess he thinks he is a tang

live brine should work if you can get it.
Some fish just do not take well to changes in water chemistry. Good luck. |

I'll wager that coral beauty grazing back there and doing just fine---just don't try to hard with it or you will foul up your water chemistry mine is a straight algae eater normally but will eat mysis ect that I put in for the anthias and copper banded butterfly--so do the tangs
